our story
Emcee Construction and Management Ltd. was established in 1990 as a full-service construction company. We provide general contracting and construction management services. Our projects range from small service type work to large scale, ground up buildings. The relationships created with our clients is a key component to the success of our company.
Emcee as a company believes in having Respect for our clients, our colleagues, our subtrades and all those that we work with. We stay Committed to our promises, no matter how difficult the task. The company acts as a Family, in that we teach and learn from each other every day. The goal at the end of each day is to Win. We feel that by working together and working hard we accomplish this.
management team
Tim started his love for construction by working in a lumber yard when he was in high school. From there, he went on to become a residential framer. As a framer, his work included building apartment complexes and houses in Greenland.
Following framing, he joined Emcee in 2005. Starting out as a Journeyman Carpenter, Tim went on to site supervision for several years and became Operations Manager. Now as a Project Manager, he loves the challenges that projects present him every day. Due to his many roles, Tim has become a very versatile and important part of the Emcee family.
In his spare time, Tim enjoys camping, skiing, and playing disc golf with his children.
Mark started in construction in 1993, working as a labourer and apprentice carpenter for a local commercial contractor. In 1996, he received his Red Seal Certificate and moved to the company that would eventually become Emcee Construction and Management Ltd.
Mark worked his way from Carpenter to Project Manager, then to General Manager in 2007. It was at this time he purchased the company. As GM, he still visits job sites daily to stay in touch with our employees, contractors and clients. Mark believes in being a hands-on manager, bringing support and experience to all aspects of the business. Mark served several terms on the board of directors for the ECA and stays involved in the industry.
When he's not working, he loves to fix up old four wheel drives and spend time at the lake with his family.
Andrew started his career with Emcee in May of 2000 after graduating from the Construction Engineering Technology program at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT). He also earned his Gold Seal Certified (GSC) designation from the Canadian Construction Association.
Andrew's interest in building and renovating started from a young age. He was mentored by a carpenter and helped with small repairs and renovation projects. Andrew has a strong work ethic that he credits to his immigrant parents. He believes strongly in the importance of proper planning and takes pride in his attention to detail.
Outside of work, Andrew enjoys bowling, golfing, woodworking and travelling.
Emcee's team is filled with professional and passionate employees. Experienced project managers, detailed estimators, dedicated superintendents and highly skilled trades people are all integral parts of Emcee's operations. These familiar faces have been a key piece to our long standing relationships with our clients. The Emcee family is proud of the work it does to ensure our clients are taken care of from startup to closeout.
